Find team building success by using these 4 recruiting tips for party plan consultants

One question that people keep asking me over and over again is, “Mel, how do you recruit more people?” So, due to popular demand, I am going to share our 4 Recruiting Tips for Party Plan Consultants. If you are someone who works in direct sales, planning in-home parties a.k.a. Facebook parties, you might find this extremely helpful.

So, let’s not beat around the bush; let’s get started:

Tip #1 Everybody should be treated equally. In other words, avoid judging others based on their age, gender, background or the car they drive. Everybody deserves an equal chance, so make sure to offer the generous income opportunity to every single one of your guests.

Tip#2 Ask a recruiting question first when a customer begins to place the order. Engage with your guests/customers. Make them feel welcome and don’t be afraid to intrigue them about what you do. Pique their interest about this generous income opportunity and share how rewarding of an experience this can be. Here are a few examples of how you can initiate a conversation of this nature—you can ask the following:

  • “Sandra, have you ever thought of doing what I do for a generous income opportunity?”
  • “Sandra, just before we finalize your order here, let me ask you something first so that you don’t miss out. Have you ever thought of doing what I do for a generous income opportunity?”
  • “If you don’t mind me asking you, Sandra, would some extra income on a weekly basis be helpful for you at the moment if you are going to do something like I’ve done here today?”

Tip #3 Sponsor more people and build your team quickly. One of the most effective ways to achieve this goal is by sharing with the party guests what your income was from the party at the end of the event as part of the Thank You. One of the main reasons for this step lies behind the fact that even though this business sounds too good to be true, it, in fact, is true! Sharing your success will only compel people to inquire more about this great opportunity and help you attract more potential new members. Subsequently, this is how you successfully expand your team.

Tip #4 Take your potential new team members to your company event. As wonderful as it is to get coffee with your potential recruit leads, have online meetings with them or a phone conversation, the most effective way to get them intrigued is having a potential new team member see the big picture of your company.  Invite them to meet the leaders in your company to see how much you get to work together as a team; allow them to experience the social atmosphere, see the wonderful prizes and gifts, company cars, holidays and conferences and all the other awesome perks the party plan companies do for us as direct sellers.

So, when it comes to getting new recruits, these 4 Tips should really do the magic and entice new members to embark on this new adventure. Of course, this means that you will be required to take some initiative, so let your fun-loving, friendly and inviting side come to the surface. Don’t be intimidated to introduce people to this great opportunity—after all, you’re doing them a favor.
