In our direct sales business, bookings are everything, we all know this. They help increase our sales, build our sponsor leads, achieve our goals – and overall, they land us even more bookings. They are the lifeblood of our party plan business. Without them – the business is dead, and that means that knowing how to maintain the steady flow of bookings is crucial. It is our ultimate goal, which we can secure simply by following these five simple strategies.

1. How to Have Guests Who Would Like to Book a Party

The answer to this question is simple: use a wishlist. You can print a list of products you are planning to present to your guests and make a copy for everyone at the party. Just have the names of the products on the Wish List, no prices…. I explain the WHY behind ‘no prices on the Wish List’ in the full free video series on this at http://www.partyplan123.com/5-explosive-strategies.  This way, the guests can highlight every product they like. The moment they realize that they cannot afford all of the items on their wishlist, offer them the solution on how to get them anyway—either book a party and get them for free as part of hostess reward, or join the company and get their own kit.

You do not have to print every product your company sells, only the ones you have in your kit.

2. What to Say and What Not to Say to Never Run Out of Bookings Again

Using the right words at the party is very important when it comes to new bookings. I’ve noticed that people react more positively when asked whether they want FREE PRODUCTS, instead of asking bluntly if they want to book a party. Guests have to know that free products are rewards for our hostess. Once you mention free products, you will notice that suddenly everyone is paying close attention to what you have to say. In fact, you’ll probably notice a sudden glitter in their eyes!

Let me show you an example of HOW to say this in an appealing way in the nest step…. keep reading!

3. How to Get Bookings Before You Open up for Sales

You are probably wondering how is this even possible! Well, this is what we call a group bookings pitch. What you should do is gather all guests before you do your one-on-one shopping time, and announce that – it is time for free products! Again, it is important to use the right words, discreet and subtle – say “free products” instead of “book your party now.” Hand out your brochures to all the guests, so they know that free products mean booking a party.

Be as natural as possible when you ask your guests who want some free products. Make sure that you do that with smile and confidence, even though you are probably nervous at this point. Say, for example, you are giving away products, try something like “I’m looking for the first 3 ladies who would like to say ‘YES’ to free products! Who wants to be the first one to say ‘YES’ to the FREE PRODUCTS?” The great news is that almost every time someone will put up their hand and say that they would be thrilled to book a party.

4. How to Eliminate the Fear of No Bookings

Having zero bookings is devastating for your party plan business, and it is normal to be scared of rejection. But to be successful in party planning, you have to have a positive mindset. So, set up for success by surrounding yourself with positive people; learn from your leaders and great achievers from your company.

A great motivator and reinforcement is a vision board with all your goals and wishes, your “whys”—why you have started this business, why you decided to stay, why you chose not to give up. Choose not to give up, choose to think positively, choose actions over procrastination, and choose to ignore the negativity. And watch the magic happen!

5. How to Avoid Cancellations and Postponements

Book more parties than you hold – this will help you eliminate the fear of any consequences of cancellations and postponements. Always have that one extra booking just in case someone cancels the party. Think of it as your backup plan or your insurance plan. This way you will still achieve your weekly goal income-wise.

If you are getting only one booking per party or less, it’s definitely time for some promotional events that will steer you towards new people and the potential new hostesses that you need.
