It appears that it’s that time of the year when a lot of direct sellers are running out of party bookings, or just not achieving as many as they are expecting. Here at Party Plan 123, we don’t want you to give up on your dreams but live them to the fullest, so once again we have prepared a wonderful treat for you. Don’t worry, and hold on to your dreams, as today we will take you through 10 Tips on How to Restart Your Party Bookings in Direct Sales. Put your party shoes on; tip number 1 is just around the corner!

1.     Carry your “library” with you!

First thing and something you should always be doing: to be a sort of a portable librarian by always carrying your catalogs and brochures with you, regardless of where you find yourself at a given moment. With your catalogs and brochures, you will always be ready to share your message, and your potential clients will not only appreciate your readiness, but also the fact that they can dive into your material by themselves. We all like to have our little piece of reading time, don’t we?

2.     Bring some products too!

As you will be preaching your message and making people believe in your words, you have to justify that in reality. So, in addition to your little library, always carry some products with you as well. You just never know when you might come across an opportunity to show the real products to someone, or even have a chance to sell something right then and there.

3.     Throw some confetti at school fetes!

Well, not literally, but if you’ve got school fetes, school carnivals and events happening in your local area, this is a fantastic opportunity to be able to get involved in your community and to network and meet lots of people. Not only that the kids will have fun, but you will get to network with other moms and community, and present your entrepreneurship, which might result in them wanting to engage you for future events!

4.     Prize competition, yay!

Everyone likes gifts, and everyone likes to compete for them, so the prize draw box is a perfect little goldfish both for you and those interested in booking with you. Just put your prize draw box in a local business, or for example, a takeaway food store, hairdressers or beauty salon where you’re doing a competition to give away one prize and people are entering into the draw. It could be the fishbowl concept where people are simply just placing a business card into a bowl to be able to win the prize.

5.     Be a Fairy Godmother!

Look for local events and for ways that you can get involved in your community by doing fundraisers. You could run a party that is an event where you’re getting some ladies together, and you’re doing exciting activities. You’re providing a social situation from which you could donate a percentage of your income to a good cause and help to raise funds that way. At the same time, you will get admiration which will boost your chances to never run out of bookings again!

6.     Attend vendor events!

Number 6 is to go to Vendor Events, anywhere that you can have a table display of your products, something like markets or expos are always perfect for that. It gives you a way to meet people in person and to show your products, get your products in the hands of brand new people and ideally increase the number of bookings that you’re getting while at the event.

7.     Raffle!

Together with vendor events, Raffles in a local community can prove equally amazing. Nothing is stopping you from going down to your local sports club and offering to give away a prize that you can raffle off to the people who are there on the day!

8.     Spice up your social media!

Social media posting and advertising is an awesome way to make new contacts! Do your social media in a way that you’re using a variety of posts. Do some pictures or some Facebook Live videos. The most important thing, spice it up with a personal touch! Make your clients feel special by addressing them personally.

 

9.     Mystery Hostess Party

What you can also do is a Mystery Hostess party. Do it as an open invite where you have people come along, and you give away the free products that you would usually be giving to a hostess on the day of her party. You can use that as a way of attracting people to want to come because you’ve got prizes to give away. Generosity is sure to come back tenfold!

10.   Foodie goodie?

The last step is “foodie goodie”. What does this mean? Do a quick party display during the lunch break in the office. You can set up your little expo in their dining room and approach people on their break. They can just casually come in and out, have a look at your products, have a chat with you, and you will offer free products to every person that you meet. They will get to enjoy their food, and they’ll get some goodies too! Moreover, present them with the chance to join your company and, of course, become a valued customer by placing an order.
